Using the excellent Tradition whisky with its high malt content as its base, the Hombo Family, owners of this independent alpine distillery, finish this batch in ex-red wine casks from their own estate for just over a year. The wine clearly makes its presence felt with juicy notes of wild summer berries, dark honey, and poached stone fruits. The core of the whisky is still malty and rich with shades of vanilla, pepper and nutmeg. A very satisfying, crowd-pleasing whisky. Only a few thousand bottles have been made available worldwide.
